Gail Wolz, Treasurer, Bellevue East Lacrosse

Gail Wolz

Gail Wolz is a board member of Bellevue East Lacrosse and the proud mother of Sophie, who is a player on the varsity team. She wears a number of hats in this club, including Treasurer, time keeper, score keeper, administrative assistant, cheerleader, and chief bottle washer.  She reports that she currently operates a BELAX spirit-boa "sweat shop" in her family room, much to the chagrin of her daughter.

Gail says that lacrosse is a fast, exciting, and newer sport in the northwest. Many of the girls on Bellevue East Lacrosse teams have little or no experience. What she loves about this club is that it is inclusive and encourages newcomers, even those girls with no past experience. Gail says that participating with this club has been a "life-changing experience for our daughter and family."

Gail is a busy volunteer in our community. She often visits people in the hospital or nursing facilities, using a "humor therapy" persona.  In fact, Gail is a certified Laughter Leader.  What lights her up about this work is seeing the smile or hearing laughter from someone who is terribly sick or discouraged.  Gail says, "laughter truly is good medicine."
