John Galluzzo, Assistant Coach - Grades 7/8 Team

John Galluzzo

When John moved to Seattle in 1983 he had never played lacrosse.  His boss at the time invited him to a practice of College Inn Lacrosse Club, and he loved it so much that he continued to play with and coach that team for the next 18 years. He says that his former boss is still his good friend today.

It’s easy for John to get up and go to practice on a Saturday morning, and to justify taking afternoons off a bit early in order to coach, because its LACROSSE!  John says that the game of lacrosse requires great individual skills within the framework of working together as a team.  John asks, "What’s better than a perfect fast break or a quick stick for a goal?"

John's older daughter plays and he hopes that his younger one will as well.  For John, the best part of coaching is sharing lacrosse with great kids and handing it down for others to enjoy.  John says, "Once you play it, it becomes a part of you!"
