Mary Hutson, Board Member, Bellevue East Lacrosse

Mary Hutson thinks that it’s not cool how “elite” sports teams can be exclusive, because they can prevent older girls from trying a new sport. She grew up in a cornfield in Indiana, shooting baskets and hitting a tennis ball against the garage door. She didn’t have her first organized team sport experience until middle school, and then she made up for it by playing softball, basketball, volleyball, and golf.
She is a member of the board and updates the website for Bellevue East Lacrosse. She has two daughters, is married to her high-school sweetheart, and got U2 tickets for her birthday.
